Retanna Holiday Park is well placed for enjoying the sandy beaches and attractions in the west of Cornwall.
Falmouth, the premier resort in West Cornwall, is close by. Gyllyngvase Beach, one of its four main beaches, is pictured above. Falmouth is home of the renowned National Maritime Museum and is brimming with boats, watersports and high street shops. The futuristic Ships and Castles swimming pool and Pendennis Castle command breaktaking views over the busy commercial port.
Helston, famous for the Floral Dance, is also nearby. The Flora Day celebration in Helston takes place in the first week of May (Saturday 7th May 2016 & Saturday 6th May 2017) with the well known `Floral Dances' where the whole town is dressed up with bluebells to welcome the processions of dancers meandering through the town alleyways and even shops! - See our Special Offers for this time of year.
Helston is nestled in a beautiful wooded valley and a stroll round its shops, pubs, cobbled alleyways and lovely Coronation Boating Lake makes a relaxing start to your self catering holiday in Cornwall. Helston is also home to RNAS Culdrose - Air Day being on Thursday 28th July this year..
Porthleven, a popular fishing village with quayside pubs and cafes, is just a short drive from Retanna Holiday Park.
The Lizard Peninsula lies to the south of Helston and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with lovely coastal walks.
